Keeping Current

Staying current in your field can be tough and very overwhelming considering the amount of information out there. One way to combat this is by creating search alerts or by signing up for table of contents alerts. This page will provide some information on how to do this.

MacPLUS : PLUS Studies

PLUS Studies and Systematic Review alerts are a feature of the MacPLUS search engine.  You may edit the frequency and coverage of your PLUS alerts from within your account profile.

PubMed Saved Searches

Saved searches allows you to stay current in a specific topic. Let's say you are interested in looking up the most current evidence on "tai chi for knee osteoarthritis" regularly. How would you go about doing this? A quick search can be done and saved in a database such as PubMed. Each month or once new content has been published, an email will be sent to you with the citation information and you can read the abstracts and gain full text access. Contact a librarian for help setting this up!
